visa information

All non-Indian citizens (except for nationals of Nepal and Bhutan) require a visa for entering India.

There is no provision for 'VISA on Arrival' in India.
In the case of participants from Afghanistan, China, Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, Sudan, foreigners of Pakistani origin and Stateless persons, we have to obtain the necessary permissions form the concerned ministries and send the same to the respective Indian Embassies/High commission in advance to facilitate visa for travel to India. Hence, participants from aforementioned countries are required to send their information (in the following format) together with a copy of passport to secretary@icmars.org (with the subject line "Request for visa processing") latest by 15th October 2014

S.No Name Father's/Husband's Name DOB POB Nationality & Passport No. Date of Issue Place of Issue Date of Expiry Address

VISA application forms are available at the office of the Indian Embassy or Consulates in the country of your residence. All NRIs/PIOs, including children (who don't possess OCI or PIO card) need to apply for VISA in separate VISA forms. All the participants are advised to apply for either Tourist VISA or Conference VISA only

The contacts details of Indian Missions in various countries are available at http://www.mea.gov.in/indian-missions-abroad.htm

FAQ on Conference Visa is available here.

To apply for a Conference Visa, you will need to attach with your visa application an official invitation letter from the conference organizers. If you need such an invitation, please send an email to secretary@icmars.org with the following information:
• Your name
• Title of accepted paper
• Your nationality and passport number

Detailed information about visa requirements etc. can be found here:
https://indiavisa.travisaoutsourcing.com/homepage.

While the information at the Travisa website is useful, you should always check with your nearest Indian consulate/embassy for information that may be specific to your country of residence.

The visa application process should be quite straightforward in most cases. However, we strongly urge you to please apply for your visa at least six weeks in advance of your travel dates.

Please send an email to secretary@icmars.org if you need any further information or documentation from our side to assist you with the visa application process.
